FastSoft Introduces E Series Version 2.0

Accelerates all files sizes and provides visibility into end-user experience

PASADENA, CA – March 24, 2009 – FastSoft, Inc. today introduced E Series version 2.0, the latest software powering its Internet accelerator network appliances. The E Series devices, which enable fast and stable delivery of digital content anywhere in the world, require no software or hardware at the client-side and therefore reduce the need for companies to build and maintain regional datacenters. New features include acceleration of small web objects to complement the E Series’ rich media acceleration capabilities, and performance reporting and analysis to help companies determine how to improve the end-user experience.

“For companies that choose to build their own web delivery infrastructure, the E Series now accelerates 20KB web objects in addition to multi-gigabyte multimedia files, and any file sizes in between,” said VP Product Management, Diego Dugatkin. “This means faster website downloads and snappier web applications, even to far-away regions with spotty Internet connections.”

Version 2.0 also provides real-time acceleration reporting and analysis to quantify the enhancement FastSoft brings to the end-user’s quality of experience.

“The E Series now measures the speed boost for all TCP sessions and provides a set of real-time graphs that report the improvement by round trip time (RTT). Our customers can use these tools to determine how much faster their web pages or Internet videos download around the globe,” said Dr. Dugatkin, “and to understand the geographical distribution of their end-users based on RTT.”

Other new features that add improved security and manageability include remote upgrade functionality and predefined acceleration profiles. Additionally, the E Series supports 10,000 TCP flows and comes equipped with a passive bypass unit to eliminate single points of failure.

About FastSoft
FastSoft was launched in 2006 to bring the benefits of Internet acceleration to businesses looking to accelerate web applications and speed the download and distribution of video and other digital content worldwide. The company’s patented FastTCP™ technology updates the predominant Internet transfer protocol to enable speed increases of 3–5 and up to 30 times with no technology required on the receiving end. By enabling content to remain centralized as transfer times improve, FastSoft enables leading companies in media & entertainment, advertising, Internet content delivery services, managed hosting, technology, and government to eliminate costs associated with global datacenter build-out and maintenance, and to centralize digital assets.
